thanks roelof. this is more or less what I was looking for but I also need info on diff oils which are much more viscous. for example, what would be 3000wt in cSt? I've found this conversion tool online... but when using it to convert the examples in the xray conversion table it does not match... I also cannot use as guide another car, because the NT1 diffs are smaller requiring thicker oil for the same effect... g |

I red that article (and translated in italian for my friends too) months ago and I find it very very interesting. It is clear that cst oils are "linear" and you can put two different olis coming from different brand side by side, while wt are "brand-personal" and you cannot do it. I think that if you have some bottle in WT and not in cst and they don't match, the best thing you could do is to buy a new one. Think they are not expensive, and few dollars cannot change your life, bad oils yes (the car I mean)! |
