Post subject: | fuel tank question |
hi guys, i have a small question, how to check that my fuel tank is still in good shape?? visual test doesn't show any cracks or leaks, i closed a line and blew in the other, no air wistlenig or sound is obvious, is there another way to check the fuel tank?? i know that some times engines act strangly because of fuel tanks, that's why i wanna know... thanks alot Ali |

Fuelpressure is a tricky part to get the engine right, I know the Sirio (Siim) .21 engine needs a Sirio exhoust to run at its best. There is a known problem about hickups with a full tank. That can be solved with a pressure chamber: If you want to try less pressure you can try this: This is just an empty fuelfilter with in the side a nipple and some tube to flow away the oil from the exhaust to keep the car clean. But it will flow away the (over)pressure with the result the engine is less pressure sensitive and it makes the setup les consuming. |

thenks alot guys for the answers, well i did buy the SIIM pipe along with the engine, the car was running fine with the new engine/pipe, i'll just add up few centimeters to the line in between and add the fuel filter too just in case. i dont wanna have the same problem this coming weekend (season finaly race) about my OS engine, i ran it with a nova 2630 pipe, i'll have to order the parts and recheck it again (next season). thanks again, Xray ROCKS |
