Post subject: | Spring steel NT1 |
I have running the car for 6 months. I notice there is a slight wear in the diff drive cup. It seems to be normal for the hinge pin to get wear at te dogbone but I am suprise that happen over the drive cup. I recall that the spring steel in serpent has no wear all for the last 3 years i was runing. Is this some kind of lower grade quality of spring steel used in NT1? |

Hey, Xray have used the highest grade Hudy Spring Steel in their Drivehafts, CVD's and Diff Outdrives for the NT1. I and Xray Reccomend greasing the diff outdrives and CVD's regulary as this will give them less wear. Anti Wear Grease is also very good, i grease up my drive-train after every race meeting (even club days). I have never stripped a belt or broken and cvd's, car is extreamly free also. Wear is a factor of every car, i have found Hudy Spring Steel to be the best by far on their quality of their drivetrain parts. It also Depends on your track conditions, high grip tracks will usually have better wear as the drivetrain is more efficient. Hope This Helps, Regards, Ryan |
