no one is using lipo in their NT1?

For all this season I used LRP NiMh 1400 mAh with no problem at all. But I'm not only a driver, also a pit mechanics for a great friend of mine very fast (we were sixth at the National 1/10 Italian junior Championship 2006) and he uses Exceed Lipo batteries with Exceed voltage regulator.
No problems at all! I heard lot of people about regulators working bad, but the Exceed one is perfect, no damage and ever ready to show the good/bad power of the pack with his green light. We tested the input/output with three of them and they were the same and this means good standard! Only pay attention to leave the hole of the swicth opened to aereate the hardware in the Rx case!
Of course this made us to put the weight on the chassis to reach the EFRA standard but is lower weight , as 3mm for the fuel tank.
Now as I want to buy one for me, the usual shop I go has the regulator but hasn't the pack, so I'm looking for another brand pack, but I'll buy that regulator for sure!!!

I'm not sure who sells exceed but I used the protek in my xt8 all summer (battery and regulator) and I didn't have any trouble. I wish I knew what the demensions were for the battery compartment in the car. that would make it easier to determine which lipo would fit.

I was wrong : the correct name is Xceed and you can easily find them on www.rc-mushroom.com searching for Xceed brand ; you'll find also the regulator and the dimension and weight they have .

Your best bet for a protek lipo receiver is the 1300 mah battery. The best place to get it is at nexusracing.net they also have the dimensions for it as well as the 2300 mah battery. You'll find that the 1300 one is about 83mm and the 2300 one is 85mm. I have installed the 1300 one and it fits perfectly on the battery tray. Protek also sells a sweet switchless lipo regulator that is also available at nexus

that's the one I got (1300mah). i have the 2300 for my XT8 and it fit perfectly in the NT1 but it just felt heavier when I picked up the car. I might go back to the 2300 later since I know it's only 2grams more and will give me a much longer run time.
