Yesterday I had my first test day on our local Track. I started with Stock setup. Only ;I had front and rear same tire hardness. My tire size was front 59 / rear 61 mm. The track had not enough grip ! The rear of the car was very loose! I changed the rear shock positions and deattached the rear anti roll bars. After that was the car better and stable. At last I tried front 37, rear 40 shore tires. After that felt the car very good and was realy easy to drive! Only importend thing is the stock pinion combinaton. If you cut your tires 59/61 mm you need a bigger 2 gear pinion because the top end of the car is to slow at the straight. (ok it depends on your engine) I drove the car about 25 tanks. And had not loose any dogbone. No problems with belts or spurs. The best thing of the car is the corner speed. Before this car I drove always oneway at the front for better corner entering. But with NT1 you can enter the corners like oneway and you have the power of breaking because of the front diff. I thing this happens because of the lightwight diffs! |

hey CIMRI Glad to hear that the car runs smooth! You say you changed the rear schock positions, to what did you change them? more inclined or...? What diff oil did you have in the diff? And to wich pinions size did you change? I am curious how the car drives with new tyres that only have the front tyres trued 2mm. I understand that 59/61 is the size you would use driving a competition? I had major trouble with my previous brand car on the rear, i couldent get a setup that was stable and had a VERY loose rear. If it doesnt rain tommorrow i will try the car at the local track here. Thanks for sharing your first impression? greets, Ron |

Hey I will try both 60.000 and tinner oils tomorrow. I guess there wont be that much grip tomorrow as just few people used the track and whe had plenty rain.. ![]() Getting the car to perform under those circumstances is a challenge on it's own. I'll post my experiences here if it's stay's dry tomorrow. Thanks for the tips guy's! |
