XRAY - Model racing cars

Hey guys, I've had my 2002 f4i for a while now and the fuel pump went out. I installed a new one today along with a new fuel filter and hoses attached. After putting it together, it started right up and I was excited. About 3 min of it running, a really high pitch started coming from somewhere. I'm pretty sure it's something to do with the pump. It will start up fine and not have the noise but then it'll start back up. It's pretty load. When installing the pump, I wasn't sure what gasket it needed at the bottom of the pump itself. Neither of the 2 that was sent with it matched the one that came off the old one and that one was to damaged. I put one on and mounted it on the bracket. Idk if that gasket makes a big deal but maybe it did? There was a small hole at the bottom of the fuel pump that the gasket had a hole for and I feel like it was fine but maybe it's more important than I thought? Has anyone had this problem before?
