SIHH 2017 brings some excitement, as well as an update to Audemars Piguet's Royal Oak Perpetual Calendar. This beautiful watch has witnessed awesome changes, such as the stainless steel version released in 2015 and the gold version released in 2016. Black ceramic, there are many reasons to thank this watch for the time it has taken through the careful handwork of the watchmaker. The week of the year is displayed on the external chapter ring of the dial. These elements, including the leap year indicator, are perfectly arranged on a typical "Grande Tapisserie" dial. I love how lifelike the astronomical moon appears on the dial, feeling like you're staring at a miniature moon on your wrist, which is probably too much, I bet you agree. All in all, I like the look of black, and there's nothing like the contrast between a gray background and a black counter.

The result is a clearer dial, giving this complex watch a truly impressive readability. The royal oak calendar black ceramic is powered by an internal movement of 5134. This carefully crafted automatic chain loader moves at a speed of 2.75 Hertz, which is very special. But it guarantees a minimum power reserve of 40 hours, which is enough for a single charge. Its beautiful work, clearly shown on the back of the anti-glare sapphire watch, makes you somehow think your Swiss franc 85,000 plus tax is worth it.
