Conical shims have a narrower setting window but more punchy when its set exactly right.

but, I think that is the same a hard spring, I have seen and tested that is more progressive than the spring, and no more punch, and if I tight the nut, the clucht slide is very dificult this adjust.

I think that with a hard spring is better.
