Post subject: | Shocks and ride height |
Hi, I'm an x-ray driver from Mexico. I have the NT 1 PRO 2012 spec. Yesterday we had our second race of the year. I've never had issues with the aluminum shocks of my car. I ran three finals yesterday and had to bump up to the A main because I couldn't qualify well. My car had a lot of oversteer. I set up the ride height before each main and after 15 minutes the car started bottoming out from the rear. Do you have any idea what causes this? Thanks in advance for the help! Best regards Juan |

The chassis is bottoming out because your tires are wearing right? You need to increase your ride height a lot to compensate for the smaller tires. You can calculate it like this: if you are starting at 8mm rear ride height, and your tires wear for instance 8mm in that final, your ride height will drop to 4mm in the rear which is enough to finish the final. By each mm of tire wear, the ride height drops by 0.5. |
