Hallo NT1 friendes. I bought a Nosram VTEC 1600, LIFE battery, 6.6 volt. But I think the battery is too high, I have too press it up in the fuel tank. Anybody have the same problem? I would like to hearer what LIFE battery you have in your NT1 or maybe you use the NiHM battery? Regardes CRY. Picthure |

Hi This is the same problem I had with the SRC life battery pack. To solve the problem you have to: 1. remove the shrink-wrap film 2. under that you will find a tube (of 0,75mm of thickness) around the cells 3. remove that tube (as you can see it makes the battery squared and higher) 4. replace the shrink-wrap film you have removed with a new one. My advice is to position the head with the wires coming out toward the rear of the car because usually on this battery packs it it less thick (and so you will totally avoid to touch the fuel-tank). Hope to be clear bye |

It is said not to discharge the LiFe below 60-70% of capacity for the first 10-20 cycles. So to get the best life out of the LiFe ( ) run some Charge-Discharge cycles through it. Low amps and not below 3.2-3.3V. We encountered many dead LiFe packs this spring as they were not used though the winter (stored at ~50% charge). I'm just running 10+ cycles through my new LiFe... (0.5C current and 3.6>3.2>3.6>...) |

The LiFe by CS Electronic is lower than the LRP/Nosram ones but a little wider. Maybe this is a direct fit. |
