Post subject: | Clutchbell endplay and clutch gap |
Just trying to setup clutch and having a bit of trouble. I'm having more confusion than anything. I understand the clutch gap and how to measure. I am just having problems witch clucthbell endplay. In the instructions it shows to shims behind teh clucthbell and i figure the amount or thickness depends on ur motor. My other measurements from end of crank to top of nut and preload collar look good. What would be a good starting point for shims behind the clucthbell?? would it be a problem if i had none or to thin of a shim?? What is the proper way of measuring that?? |

Not the right brand/clutch but it does explain all. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7wjogF57xpo Gap= maximum distance clutch shoe -> clutch bell , set with shims at the thrust bearing. endplay = axial play , set with shims at the fly wheel nut. |

Hello. I put, the gap to 0.7mm without internal bearing, and the endplay 0.15mm with internal bearing. this measures are for SIRIO XXX and standard clutch. bye.. |
