Have I missed something? I didn't know there were springs to hold the brake pads apart when in the off position - new one on me - can't wait for the answer (s) |

Like these: http://www.rc-hardware.nl/index.php?pag ... up=6&cat=8 Most people just cut small pieces from a spring from a pen. |

I know the disc + pads is about 6mm so probebly you do need 7~8mm springs, you can messure it up! |
I know the disc + pads is about 6mm so probebly you do need 7~8mm springs, you can messure it up!
I don't understand why you measure the disc and pads to get the length of the spring. I guess the spring fits between the pads to push them off when they are released, so the length of the springs must be slightly less than the width of the disc. Is this correct? Thanks |

1mm brake material on both pads and a ~4mm disc makes 6 |

OK, my mistake... I have runned the NT1 only with a Motanica P8.0 brakedisk (just steel brakepads are needed) and the total distance between the pads needed was 6mm, I asume the original disc was 4mm. But look arround, I believe Serpent is using them too http://www.rc-mushroom.com/product_info ... s_id=18832 |

KM has brake pads and they sell them with these springs. I used to buy ones just to try and I eventualy kept the springs for further uses. As some of you say a spring pen will also work, although I've never measured the srpring dimension. I'll do that and let you know. cheers, IƱaki |
