XRAY - Model racing cars

The track where it was held has asphalt like sandpaper. we with 8th scale onroad cars have to run 40 shore to make it through the main final.

WOW, it is a lot hard tires for 1/8 scale. I am running 1/8 too. Thats mean , that Jilles used very hard tires!

In the final I used Jaco 40 front and 40 left rear and 42 right rear.
I started with 63 / 62 RR and LF and 60.5 / 59.5 RF and LF.
On the end this gave me 55.5 rear and 56.0 front diameter
Car was good from the beginning and got even better during the race.

What size batteries are used in the standard receiver pack. I can't quite tell for sure from the pictures.

Thanks for the reply. So you're sure they are the 2/3 size as opposed to the sub C commonly used in electric racing or the AA commonly used in receiver packs. I have an NT1 on the way and want to make sure I have the correct size receiver battery, unfortunately I have everything covered except the 2/3 size!

I am absolutely sure...here is my NT1... That's the battery wire poking out near the two speed...

Started to use the modifiable setup sheet, but found a few errors you might want to address:

1. The wheelbase is shown as automatically calculated. As far as I can see the wheelbase is non-adjustable unless small caster changes are taken into account and if this is the case it does not automatically calculate. Assuming that it is not calculated what is the kit wheelbase.

2. The upper arm position boxes will only allow you to pick one, not several as may be needed. I also think you need to check the values that are assigned to each position when it is selected (see below)

3. The caster value is not calculated after selecting the shim sizes. I modified my copy of the sheet to calculate and fixed the problem in 2 above so that more than one could be selected but the calculated value for the basic setup (0.5 and 1.5 shims) came to 10.0 deg not 9.5 deg as shown in the basic setup sheet supplied with the kit.

4. The little Ackerman picture third from left is incorrect - should have the "B" on the bottom and the "C" on top. I think someone else has already mentioned this point.

These points are all ment as constructive points in an effort to correct the sheet for everyone.
