Hi everyone, and nt1 experts. I have a problem on my hometrack, when I come fast to a very wide 180 degree turn, I brake before the corner, and when I release the brake, car tends to break rear traction. What may be the cause of this? Setup: xform/index.php?act=view&ID=1479&setup=nt1

If everything is Ok in the car and you don't have any parts which might be binding the suspension I'll try using a harder rear roll bar.

If the oversteer occurs just when you are entering the corner, stiffening the rear roll bar will create more tracction on the front end. It seem to be strange but it' svery different when things happen at corner entry or corner exit.

At some particular tracks I acctually had a similar problem. Just when I entered the corner the rear loosed all the grip. Then at corner xit it was OK. By using a harder rear roll bar I solved the problem.

That's why I just told him to try. Maybe he gets the same feeling. Plus it's very easy to do. There are many other adjustments but they can take longer to set.

I agree with you on saying that its not normal and for sure if you try it 100 times it will just work a few. Suppose the kind of track and the slope the corners have influence a lot.

Here in Spain its something I always do when I go to this particular track, if I donĀ“t then everything becomes messed up.

For musti72 maybe it helps, but for sure its something quite particular.

Thanks for the help guys...

Car setup thing seems to be crazy...

Some parameters work both ways, for example I know racers(Jilles Groskamp, Paul L) who say weight balance more towards to front makes the car have less steering overall. Then I tried the Hard front bumper by Xray(about 20gram heavier than stock) and my car became way too oversteering, and hard to drive.

Same thing goes to rear shock position. Some say laying down the shocks will result more grip, some say just opposite. I personally found out them to have more rear grip.

Another thing, spring hardness. Back in april when our track was very dusty and low traction, I somehow decided to use hardest spring at rear(red) and softest front(dark blue) and my car was having rear grip more than ever!!!( I still couldnt figure this one out, any ideas?)

To conclude, are some adjustments that can change the balance of the car towards both ends(pushing or loose) depending on car you use, track condition, driving style, and so on... Very confusing...
