just to update this post...
i finally got the 2607 to play with.
When I swapped the 2017 with the 2607, I had to richen both lsn and hsn. I immediately had more power (both low and high end) and cooler temps but was not totally satisfied... I'm greedy
At that point I was still running .5mm.
I decided to try 0.4mm and it seems the sweet spot. I'm not tempted to try 0.3mm for two reasons...
1) I'm happy with the power and temperature of the engine
2) Andrew suggests 0.4
I've kept up with an OS TZ 5 port running 20% on the straight, and maybe I was hair lacking in the top end, but not enough to give the OS a real advantage. Low end was a completely different story however.
It pulled much harder than the OS.
