XRAY - Model racing cars

Dalton Touring Masters (DTM) Cup hosted by Team Serpent International has been successfully held in Jakarta Indonesia for 4 consecutives years. This year we have about 80 drivers in the race. Top drivers from across Asian countries like Thailand, Malaysia, Brunei, Singapore, HongKong, Taiwan and Sweden also participate in this year DTM Cup 2007.

DTM is a 2 days event. Oversea drivers arrived 2 to 3 days in advance for their practice session. Weather condition is excellent which resulted a successful practice and race conditions.

Qualifying Day
4 rounds of qualifying round are run on this race. The track traction is good and faster laps time emerged as the progressing qualifying is run. At the end of the qualifying rounds, 3 NT1 drivers : Sadikin Sutrisno, Danny Izwahyudi and Meen Vejrak went to Grand Final A and Sadikin secure the TQ position. The track laps record time is also broken by Sadikin, improving the previous record by 3 seconds.
We have impressive numbers of 8 NT1 cars in the B main final.

Main Final Race
Let me skip directly to the 3 top Finals.

C Final
In the C final, the first qualifier and also the NT1 driver Linardi cruise home with ease to finish first. Leaving the second position by 3 laps apart.

B Final
B final is the most exciting to watch as there are 8 NT1 drivers from all over asia.
In 30 minutes B final, Nick Kwan which is also one of the fastest NT1 driver in Singapore shoot off from 10th position to the first position in 15 minutes mark. He was leading throughout the race and when he had technical problem in the last 3 minutes of the race which dropped him to 5th final position. Impressive driving style.
Yung Yung, first time outing with his NT1 set his personal best record time which is also the fastest lap time in B main final. He is very impressed and happy with his NT1 performance.
The B main Final 3 position is all Xray: Leung Wing Wah from Hongkong(1st), M.Shah from Malaysia(2nd) and Tsang Yiu Wah from Hongkong(3rd).

A Main
The 45 minutes A Main final start with Sadikin leading the pack. Sadikin later flame out in about 4min 30 sec mark which dropped back to about 8 position. He was able to get back the 1st postion after 20 min time. But later he ran out of fuel again in around 25 min mark. Again from the back of the pack he have to chase and finally crossing the finish line first with only 4 seconds ahead of the runner up.
As for Danny Izwahyudi started the race with impressive pace but unfortunately have to end the race due to broken antenna which he later suffer from electronics glitch.
Meen Vejrak from Thailand also have to retire from the race.

From the participants of this race showed that the numbers of Xray cars have increased rapidly compare to the last big event (FEMCA 2007) a few months back. All the Xray NT1 drivers are very satisfied with their cars performance and reliability.
