Hello Poomanchoo.
Stop by Seattle Indoor Raceway sometime. They have had a few people run the NT18s in the past and can give you first hand experience. The NT18 and 18T share the same motor and startup box, so in that regard they can help.
The RTR may be cheaper from where you listed as it was bought in higher bulk or at a different time. You best bet would be to email them and ask.
You might be able to use your truggy starter, though it will be a headache trying to align the flywheel on such a small vehicle compared to a large starter box.
