You can go ahead, and send it to xray, under warranty. Or upgrade it to Hitec 85 MG. They are H/S, H/T servos w/ metal gears, the differance, they have BB(ball bearings). They're quieter then 81MG, and smoother. They are cheaper also then 81MG depending on where you shop. I think the Hitec servos are rebadged by xray. Check your batteries, Or if you installed a fail save, remove it, see have it acts. If you have a response Switch on the radio turn it off. |

I tried the servos on both my spektrum RX's (pro and standard) as well as a kyosho reciever and a JR RS300 reciever with is all the radios i have heh. I have no fail safe as the spektrum does that for me. Tried with 5 different battery packs and a 4 AA's too. I went and bought 85MG's on thursday actually ![]() Thanks for the ideas! btw, i think it will be more expensive to mail a servo from AU-Europe than it would be to buy a new one lol. I might just keep them round as spare parts. ugh, this confirmation code thing is crap. |

Converted USD to AUD. Here in US you can find 85MG servo, for 31 USD,= 40.65AUD. 60AUD=45.74USD. That's my comparion of price on servos. But still cheaper than Xray servos. |

Thanks Mark, I emailed them, they've quoted $36 + $10 p&p still $14 cheaper than my LHS geezatec, US online stores are ALOT cheaper than here. I'm currently building my 2nd 540 powered micro RS4 (this one with a 12 turn) and have sourced most of my parts from US sellers. I'd like to support my LHS but they make it soooo hard. |

Parts are *always* cheaper to buy overseas if yoru buying more than one piece at a time. Shipping doesn't add up to much when you get say $600USD of stuff in (like i did for my LST2... should arrive tomorrow woo). Buying that stuff (some of which just plain is not availiable here) would cost me around 850-900USD in australia. We are a very out of the way country with a relatively small population. Shipping costs alot of money, shipping containers generally have a very long way to get here. This confirmation code on posts is really starting to shit me off. I cant read the damn things and have to have someone read it to me. Grr. Emailed the "adminstrator" about it as well with no response. *ends rant* |

Converting currency a neat trick. always slightly in price it's all the same. Look at it this way. $$ to Japanese Yen, $1 to 116 Yen. looks like alot, but still the same. Shipping a differant story. UPS, Fed Ex, DHL or PS. Ups good rates, and if in the same state, delivery next day. Fed X cost about as much as you paid for parts. DHL military transport with in 3 days delivery. PS!! 14 days. A pain!!!!! You get what you pay for!! |

Yeah! adam! I'm in the middle of building a M18. With a Tekins 8k Brushless motor & tekins ESC. 1400mah batteries 6cell. For experimental I got a 8 cell battery pack. 5 cell just to have. It's been sitting for 2 weeks, cuz of other projects i have. maybe in a week or so it'll be done. |

I'd love to see pics of the m18 when you're done. it should fly! The 8 cell pack will be great, just watch aerodynamics up at very high speeds. Roelof (member here) has built a very fast mrs4 with 11 GP1100's and a lehner brushless motor. He had to put strips of polycarb on the side of the body to hold the car on the ground! |
