Hi I bought an New nt18 from ebay this week. It had been built but not started. I stripped it down before I used it. I was suprised to see the diffs were dry. I checked the manual but it doesn't say anything about greasing the diff. I have greased them and they seem to be smoother now. I ran it in tonight and I could not believe how fast it was! it started up straght off and was very easy to break in. I had great fun driving it but I have noticed a couple of things: 1. The foam tyres. I've ran about 10 tanks through and the rears are not holiding up well. 2. The clutch. The springs seem far too stiff it takes a fair few revs to get them to engage. 3. No damping. The car bounces a lot, oil filled shocks are on my shopping list. I'm having a bit of trouble in finding the shocks and rubber tyres. I usually use Apex models or modelsport but neither website lists anything but the kits. Does anyone know a uk modelshop (or even an international shop) that has parts instock? I think this thing is going to get a lot of use. Thanks James[/quote] |

Tire wear! Rear! My recommendation #383300 adj.toe in/out Frt & rear turnbuckle. That will take care of it. The toe-in I think too extreme. Good for corners handling wise. Xray forum Sticky catagory Knowledge Base Shows you how to adjust the clutch. Shocks!! I think we're all waitin' for oil filled!! Just change springs Tire foam search Ellegi tires, Or rubber onother competitor HPI there the same. |
