Check if the exhaust is tight screwed to the engine. Otherwise clean the chassis and engine with brakecleaner and start the engine without body and look where it starts to leak. It has not be the front bearing but a leak in the fueline or carburator and most of the time it is the exhaust. |

hey bb. do you know where the oil is really coming from? or just all over. mine is mostly from the front engine bearing |

as you know it is hard to tell - I could not really tell but the owner at my LHS said it was coming from the carb. Gotta say though- that metal gasket to the exhaust manifold looks like a likely culprit to me. Well see if it is still there after the sealing. |

by blow-by i mean fuel is actually dripping out of the front bearing on the engine. my other nitro cars do this a little bit but after one tank of fuel there is enough fuel on the chassis to actually clump dust together in chunks next to the motor. also there is a definitive line on my hudy starter box right inline with the flywheel |

yes exactly. the oils and shtuff are leaking out of the front bearing. like i said all my other nitro cars might weep a little from the front bearing but nothing like this. i check the front bearing it is just metal shielded. i think im going to try a rubber sealed bearing. |
