Just chiming in my agreement - I've seen this effect first hand and it's definitely a problem. We need some kind of anchoring system for these pipes, or they're going to get bent, melt a hole in the gas tank and/or eventually break off... Someone needs to offer up a fix for this one! |

The end of the pipe in the frontpage presentation has on the end the possibillity to mount a piece of pianowire which you can screw to the chassis for extra re-inforcement. |

Update: Bent the pipe back out and ran several more tanks through the car. I either brushed the wall again or traction rolled it and bent the pipe towards the tank. Well, now there's a noticeable dent in the tank shaped like the pipe. It's only a matter of time before it melts through the tank or I break the pipe at the joint from constantly trying to bend it back. I even cut a little bit of the stinger off the pipe so there would be less sticking out. I really can't believe no one else is having this issue. Does everyone else run their car in an open lot and not on a track with boards? |
