Hi guys, I have ordered a 1/8 buggy Star Box for which I was planning to use 2 x 2S LiPo batteries to operate it. I have just read the instructions online and noticed that the connectors installed in the Star Box are Tamiya connectors. I would have thought that the amps drawn by the starter box would potentially destroy these connectors (due to high current draw). Has anyone had experience with the this box while using Lipos? Any known issues with using the Tamiya connectors, or would I better off changing it to Deans connectors? Thanks in advance for any advice. Cheers, Lance |

I don't think the tamiya connectors will be an issue since you're only drawing half the motor's current through each connector. In saying that, I did change mine over to deans because I don't have any lipos with tamiya connectors on them. Have been running mine for about 4 years now without any problems. |
