Hello to All,

I also beleive that lower body mounts should be available to everybody as an option as it limits what bodies people can use. I have just recently bought a Xray T1R and bought a Lotus Elise body. I really love this body as it looks remarkable BUT it sits way too hight cause of the body mounts. My question is What type of body is best suited to it??????
I really love the low slung bodies but, it just wont work. I do not want to start grinding the post just so I can lower the body. I would rather buy something off the shelf that would allow me to run these bodies. I would greatly appreciate it if XRAY would look into it. It is a totally awesome vehicle and it deserves the the ultimate body to suite.

Xray does have a lowered shock tower for the T1 series of cars..

One thing to consider is that the tower can only go so low before it will make the suspension geometry of the car impossible to maintain.

Something else to consider is that since this question pertains to the 1/10 touring cars..it should probably be in the Xray T1 area of the forum instead of General...I'm sure that a moderator or admin is going to move it over there soon enough anyway now that it has been brought back up to the top... ;)

Thanks guys for the info,
As much as I would love to create my own towers, I am the type of person who likes to leave it original or use optioned parts. BUT I will say I have thought about it. The other reason to why I will not create my own is I do not want to mess with the suspension geometry too much, you might call me boring but, ITS a high quality product and do not want to destroy it with modified parts. Maybe give me some time and we'll talk about it abit later.. All the best and have a great new year.

Get an piece of Epoxy to give it a try. If you think it is OK you can make it out of carbon.
