Post subject: | Quality componets but no Quality Control? |
I just finished building my 2 new FK05 kits and I just have to ask; did the quality control team all die or something because @ $400.- a kit somebody needs to make sure the rights parts or at least the right # of parts are in the box. Last year when I got my FK04 cars I came up short 1 screw on 1 of the cars and though oh well maybe I dropped it during the build but this time I found many missing parts from both cars I built. To summarize the 1st car had in the front camber link bag ( bag 03 I think ) 3 of the 5.8mm ball cups but only 1 of the 5mm and the shock parts bag ( # 07 ) was short 1 of the purple o-rings. The 2nd car had NO SCREWS in the upper deck bag ( #2 I guess ). It’s bad enough that the required 1-way for the outdoor season isn't included or even available but can we at least get all the parts in the kit. Now before anyone says this is an isolated occurance let me just say that 5 of the 6 FK05s sold @ my LHS have had either missing or wrong parts in the kit. Mark |

Hello everybody I have just received my FK05 KIT and have not started building it yet as a result I can not tell if parts are missing. I hope they are not. I must say, though that I have built the following KITs: 1) Xray T1 2) Xray T1 EVO2 3) Xray T1 EVO2 FOC 4) Xray T1 FK04 and have NOT faced any problem with missing parts or parts that are not appropriate. The quality so far has been outstanding. I hope my FK05 will live up to the reputation of its ancestors. Keep up the good work Mario. I hope Mario will work out everything for you Mark. Best Regards Alexandros |

Alsanico - thank you for positive feedback. Vassago - we will add response on your question to the FAQ thread Harris - which bearing was missing? Concerning the covers, you can anytime and on all bearings remove the shield (either it is steel, polyamide or rubber) and this will make the bearing to turn more free, but this will make more dust to come inside and ruin the bearing faster. |
