Hi, I'm studying electronic communication used on racing tracks and would like to know if anyone knows about technical information about the RC4 transponder from MyLaps. Would be great if someone has some documentation about frequency and protocol used to transmit data? Thank you. |

Just try to email AMB/MyLaps. One of our clubmembers did to write his own counting software and did get all the protocols between decoder and PC. I do not think they provide you the transmission between transponder and decoder but maybe you can try to contact IPT for that, they have a cloned AMB transponder. |

I did that, no answer so far but your comment sounds promising. Thanks |

For those interested in this topic, I had an answer from MRT, according to them there's no way to "read" the data sent from the transponder without reverse engineer the MyLaps decoder. However, MRT will release their own timing system, I look forward to hearing from it! ![]() |
