Hello everyone,
I'm thinking about getting into real RC cars and I need a suggestion which car to get for light bashing(at least at first) on dirt, grass, sand and maybe some speed tests on asphalt.
I have a really tight budget of 200€ so my options are limited. At the moment two cars I'm interested are:
Basher Sabertooth
Hobbyking Rattler
The more I read about the cars the more questions I have.
Right now I'm leaning more towards Sabertooth because it's seems to be more durable and more adjustable which seems like a good way to learn, has a reasonably powerful electronics but a lot of people are putting 2 S4 batteries which looks like too much power and weight to me. I was thinking about putting 2 2S batteries in parallel or that wouldn't be enough power to move the car to a reasonable speed? Around 40-50Km/h
On the other hand there's Rattler, a lot lighter a little cheaper, reasonably adjustable and quite fast even on 2s batteries but I've seen some bad reviews about the ESC which is way too weak for the car also some people have trouble with weak drive shaft which starts to wobble and bends at higher RPMs.
Any other suggestions are welcome but the cars and parts should be available to buy in Europe because anything outside Europe would cost 30-50% more because of the VATs and import taxes.
Thanks in advance.
P.S.
I read that some people use car wax
https://besttoolexpert.com/chalk-paint-wax to interior wood furnitures. It went on to say that we should make sure there is no silicone in the wax.
Did anyone try this in this forum?
