Hello all,
I heard a rumour the other day that Hudy is developing a line of nitro engines. Anyone know if there's any truth to these rumours? That sure would be awesome!

Hard to see any Novarossi, Star, OS, Force, SH, etc hints in that engine. Could it be that Hudy is tooling up to produce their own engines?

At any rate, I would love to an engine line with exhaust booster ports. Every really vicious engine I've ever had, (RB C6, Novarossi Bonito etc) all had this type of exhaust setup. 3,5, and 7-port (plus the 3 exhaust ports) versions would get my juices flowing too.

Either way I am wondering where Hudy stands with this. A Hudy/Xray nitro engine would be too cool!

Getting into the engine market is hard these days. Rody Roem with his Tecnopower project (former GRP) had to close down because the low sales. Sirio (LM) had some difficulties the past years as well but also Picco and Novarossi have hard times to stay alive. Mainly they are under stress by the more populair becomming Asian engines like Go, Alpha, OS and all other brands comming from those manufacturers.

Yes, I do think Hudy/Xray has the machines and knowledge to create their own engine but it is much easier, time saving and cheaper to talk with current engine manufacturers and probably only designing an own crankcase and head.

I was thinking the same.

Building up an engine compleetly from scratch is really taking time, I know! Building up an engine with some examples from other brands is not difficult but finding the right materials for a matching piston and sleeve as also the right bushings in the rod and a strong enough material for the rod can take some time and efford.

I would love to see a HUDY engine with the bright Purple head with the HUDY name and lines lazer etched on the top.

one of these added to the motor would be great, easier to get at with hex driver!

While were at at; how about four vertical slots that line up with the engine mount screws, so we can use a straight hex driver instead of a ball driver!
