The dollar value of the deal isn’t available yet but a 2 year contract makes sense here as Perryman is very injury prone. The team likes what they’ve seen on the field enough to give him an extension , but after 4 seasons in the NFL he has yet to start more than 11 games in a season, and over the last 2 seasons has only seen the field for half of the regular season games the team has played. I was leaning towards not wanting to bring Perryman back, however on the short deal and considering how thin the Chargers are at ILB without him, I understand the desire to keep him. As long as the money makes sense, I don’t think you can be mad at this signing. And hopefully he’s shaken whatever curse someone placed on him and he’s able to play all 32 games over the next 2 seasons.
