XRAY - Model racing cars

I used to run another brand erlier, and i used those "smaller foams, like AE,Losi,Parma etc...and now i got some Xray 1/18 foams for the M18T Pro truck.

What is the Pros and minus between those tires, what do you think?

However i will test my newbuild truck and then compare it to the M18b Pro car that i use with Nitro foams....

What i have seen in the states there is onely "those small foams" that is used...must be a reason? not just regulation

this is my first post in this forum.

I have been driving this car for 3 years.
I tried much to find a good setup.
Alwell i tested the differece between the 1:10 nitro foams and the xray foams.

My exprience is (setup to the same right hight (around 6mm) ):
-with the bigger tyers the rollcenter is higher, so the car rolls better
-so the steering is much more consistance
-more predictable (less) steering into corner and while breaking
-more steering onpower an midcorner
-overall easier to drive

but you should NOT run the car with 100% dualrate, i drive with 75%

i prefer the xray foams on small tracks with tight corners or 180° corners

-because of the lower roll center the car rotates better offpower
-but while you apply throttel the car doesent steer anymore

so the xray foams doest work on a fast track with fast long corners

in germany we race often on 1:10tc indoor tracks, so i drive almost all the time with the 1:10 nitro tyers
-trued to 54 mm
-in front 24mm width
-in rear 26mm width
front sidewall glued

my car is converted to a buggy with the 170mm wheelbase tomtec chassi
(like masu's car)

without jumps my car is only 0,7 sec per lap slower as a 1:10tc modified car, driven by steven weiss

I have come up to this. The car feels much harder with trued NT foams then Xray orginal foams, like Woodboard.

I finaly did find the perfect combine...i want the Xray foams "softer" "More foam profile" BUT the NT 1/10 diameter. We are some guys that have tired this, and we used to run NT foams, but they are outperformed bigtime.

This combo only needs to trim down a few mm, i run mine in 55mm no trimed rims at all.

The car working ace on higspeed tracks, and takes the jumps really good! This setup is real easy to drive. thanks to the "more foams" on tires
