XRAY - Model racing cars

Hi all
I have a m18t rtr that i have started upgrading. so far i have;
novak mongoose 8.5 brushless
alloy xray motor mount
hudy drive shafts
2s lipo
13T metal pinion.

I got all the gear into the m18t and it looks fast but it seems to make the diffs slip non stop.
first i stripped the rear gear box pinion so i removed everything for inspection. the pinion is stripped and the diff has melted around the metal plates that push agaist the balls.

I removed the front diff and it looked fine so i put the front diff and pinion in the rear and attempt to drive it. it started slipping straight away so i tightened it up fairly damn tight and went for another go. it went awesome for about 30secs then started slipping again. i think the screw keeps loosening maybe?

-what would have cause the gearbox pinion to strip? how do i fix it?
-are there alloy gearbox pinions avail?

-why do the diffs keep getting loose?
-is slipping causing the melting of the diffs?
-do i fix this by making them tighter?

hopefully i only need 1 new gearbox pinion. 1 new plastic teeth part that goes on the diff that holds the balls as it had melted on the rear diff.

i wish i could get all metal diff, metall pinion etc...!!

Yes, if your diff was too lose, that heat transfer from the main gear unto the drive gear could start to warp it so it could strip easier.

You can have a diff too tight, and put flat spots in your diff balls. The best idea is to break in your diffs slowly, and realize with a more powerful motor since you jumped from a 370 to a brushless 380, you would have needed to tighten the diffs even more than they were.
