hi, does any1 use 7 cells on that truck with stock setup ? want to keep the truck stock as possible and just switch to 7 cells, since my friends run their sharks with 7 cells too. ""XMC300R speed controller with reverse"" - 5-6 cells 
are there any hop ups i really need ? thx -sorci |

got it from my local dealer yesterday and yeah, m18t its a bit smaller and lighter then the shark =) will jump on the lipo bandwagon and get the lrp micro lipo today  , seems like a nice fit and local lrp dealer is always good to drink some beers there, though he will kick my ass if i tell him i bought an xray 
made some test runs and coming from nitro there is 1 thing i dont like that much -> i am used to a very soft brake and this speedo has nuts breaksettings 
1:10 scale, but i will run sunday on this track -> pics will follow 
years ago i never understood why there are rtr packages, got so lazy lately -> i am happy they are available now

ahh well, no racepics yet, but some others =) 7 cell idea was kinda stupid .. to much weight, nimh -> outdated since i touched the lrp 2s 3s lipos =) nothing broken except 2 bearings went bad and front dampers leak a bit. no options yet except that nickel balls on the outside and 4 different tire sets, rb 1:10 foams (42/37), m18t foams (aehm think purple/white), m18mt thrax + stock tires, and shark motor (380 size and some inferno pinions which needed some modifcations to fit in, thank god i have 2 potent lhs which have ANYTHING in stock . (after driving mamba 8k i ordered the 7.5k vortex orion 1:18 (orion hp says kw 32 :/)set and that setup box , even with 3s lipo i think 8kish sets are very smooth and still controllable .. fun fun fun), coming from nitro i only got some robbe charger and replaced that with a pulsar 3, love it . runtimes are great compared to shark with same "electrical setup".

picco .26 and a rb63, was an INCREDIBLE good combo need to paint it like this so my savage gets a little bra
very nice car, and stocksetup really worked fine with whatever tires i mounted, i LOVE that , my lrp/hpi dealer went crazy after telling him i got an xray , he drove it a bit and said woaahh really nice ...
checked some balancers there but he said i dont need them with only 2 or 3s lipos .. what do u think ? and another question, do that nickel balls wear alot, or is it ok to just switch the arms if they will get to much play in the future ? diffs slip a bit when accelerating, will this be a problem (wear) if i switch to the orion 7.5k brushless ?, lock them a bit more down ? i DONT want wheelies :/ |
