The mongoose is a sensored system. The mamba is a non-sensored system. Not realy true, the 3 coils in the motor will sensor the position of the rotor (magnet) but it can only be sensored when turning. And that is the difference between the 2 systems, make a start from standing still the mamba is not direct and have to start with an uncontrolable punch to sense the magnet. A sensored system knows when standing still where the rotor is and can start directly. For normal use it does not matter which one you have, with racing a sensored system is more precice with the throttle, for sure on lower rpms. |
