Post subject: | Wing to M18 T Pro? |
I have read some on different internet forums and have noticed that alot of them who race M18T have placed a wing on the car to inprove handling of the car when driving and jumping. Is this an option that Xray thinking of manufacture? |

Here is how i made my wing. Team Assosiated wing mounts and ving. I use the alu shock towers on my car. Just file the paint away and filled the holes with epoxy, drilled some holes and screw on the wing mounts. Easy and fast, and so long it seems to work realy good with my crashes. The handeling in jups is realy good now with this wing. A I think real wing like this is a "must have" on this car. And I hope xray gone make wing and wingmount as option soon. |

Another good idea! Do you think this would work with the stock plactic shock mounts or are they too flexible? |

I dont think the flex is the problem. the problem is that I dont think the epoxy gone be strong enough to the plastic. But it may work. Just file the plastic so the epoxy got something to "bite" on |

A proper wing makes a massive difference - there's a write up of my racing experience in my M18T Pro review here: it really helped stabilise the truck on rough sections and jumping was a lot easier and more predictable. The little 18th scale buggy from maverick has really good looking wing mounts but I've not got any yet - my mount is a quickie bodge job but it works well. you can see my wing mount here: I've mounted the L shaped bracket under the rear shock tower - this also raises the tower and lowers the car a little at the rear, which is fine for the tracks I've run on. |
