Post subject: | Hardened steel pinion gears |
So, I replaced the plastic spur with the NT18T steel spur gear. Each plastic pinion got stripped within 10 secs on my brushless with 3S LiPo. I bought the Atomic steel pinions but they seem to be brass or alloy and not steel (see poor quality pic). They lasted up to 3 hours racing. Does anyone know if there are 48P hardened steel pinions with a 2.3mm shaft size? (preferably eBay) |

No, they are all .5 or .6 module metric versus 48 pitch imperial (M18t pitch). If you can make a adapter from a brass tube to use 3.2mm pinions (540 size), that would allow a wide range of 48 pitch imperial pinions. |
