As for question 1: Yes, there is a delay of about one second from full still to reverse. Sometimes it's a bit annoying to wait while racing, but it will keep your motor and ESC from damaging. No, you can not disable the reverse. One one to trick the ESC is to set the full speed forward, neutral, reverse procedure by not setting the reverse. But in that case the EMF brake doesn't work either.

Thanks for the replies. I tried the Orion Baja; a noticeable improvement in torque and top speed over stock. I found that setting the brake EPA on my transmitter to roughly 30%, that the brake still stops me but the truck won't move brackwards. I think I might put one of my smaller 1/10 speed controls in my Xray. I don't miss the clicking diffs of my Rc18mt. (yes I have shimmed them as well) I might sell it and buy another Xray. |
