8K w Rage ESC. you have 13 differant profile with motor timing.You have to figure out whats best. You gone too far with gear ratio. Probable one of the smallest pinion and large spur.. With the small pinion it almost instant excell. Like marbe 4 ft. Depend on the track you're running. Maybe a short track. Large track like 10th scale 22 pinion & 36 spur works well it gradually speed to the max.
Use a different shore of foam tires. Or tire dressing sold at your LHS. Carpet i dont see any problem. Rubber tire I had to relearn how to glue them on. Cuz the balloon too much w/max cells in can run(8cell, 1400MAH). You can run 3cell lipos.
