Post subject: | X-Ray M18 servo saver - trouble assembling |
I just received the M18 servo saver from X-Ray. Sadly, I'm lost in assembling the thing. The manual says to use both the 'large ring' and the 'small ring'. Both rings, a silver one and a gold one, seem the same size. If I try to use both of them, one of them will be 'around' the other and not make contact with the servo saver at all. Is this how it should be done? Using only one ring does not provide enough steering force in high speed corners. Any help appreciated! Thanks! |

The silver one goes to the outside of the gold. They both should fit onto the saver together. If you think the silver is too large, try crimping it slightly. |

Thanks. Actually, I think the silver one is too small, they both seem the same size. The edges of the silver one do not make contact with the piece of plastic that stretches the ring, like the gold one does. Is the silver one purely for inforcement of the gold one? |

Yes, the silver ring gives more strenght to the gold ring. |

What I gather with the saver. You have three options, use one or the other, or both. Maximun strength use both. The spring are different strengths. They will fit on each other. Just install the gaps at 12o'clock and the lever. What ever suit your use. |
