Post subject: | M18t pivot balls and front arms |
My M18t suspension arms have worn out. I spoke of this earlyer but never followed up on it. The problem is on the arms where the pivot balls are held (closest to the wheel) has worn to the point it will not hold the ball. My front lower arms are the worst. I fixed the problem with washers to keep the arm from popping out but there is a lot of slop now in the arms. I believe the problem is that my suspension is too soft and when I am jumping I always bottem out. this seems to put strain on the joints and now they are worn. On the other hand I run on dusty conditions so that could have worn them out as well. I know I am going to be useing [edit: stiffer springs] soon, as well as get new arms and the metal pivot balls so this should fix the problem, but has anyone else had this problem? Thanks Mike. |

The following will help (which you mention you have on order) ![]() As far as springs, the NT18T ones are another option. |

If you order all of the above, that will give you enough for your entire truck (including the sway bars). I dont think the arms were weakened at the joint, it was simply a case of dust entering and acting like sand paper in the pivot. So the ball diameter got smaller and finally popped out easier. The rating is this (per updated FAQ) - SOFT - SOFT-MEDIUM - MEDIUM |
