before you put the wire into the antena tube you can spread the beginning of the wire between front body posts (I have it this way) |

Personally, I just let the excess wire trail out the antenna tube. If you shorten the wire by wrapping it, or folding it over onto itself, you may decrease the range of the receiver. I don't use the tiny antenna tube inclubed with the M18, I use a full-size antenna tube. |

Thia is what I did and it works very well. I coiled up the wire close to the receiver on the bottem of the tube, leave just enough wire to to go up the tube and fold over 1/4" Heat shrink the coil and the top done looks nice and cleen and works I lost aboult 20 feet of range wich is not a problem. I have ran the car over a 100 feet from me with no glitches. I think will try the micro Azarr antenna from E cubed rc They make them for all receivers the air plane guys love them, you know they need range.[/img] |
