Post subject: | M18 and speed 300 question |
Hello, Let's introduce myself. My name is Michel Verbruggen. A couple weeks ago I bought a m18. The setup is: speed 300 motor on 7.2 V gm 4R speedcontroller 6 cells 1100 mah 42t spur en 21t pignion What's the problem? My friends have almost the same setup. (Some people drives whit 5 cells). But the are going faster. Not a little difference, but a lot... ![]() First I checked if every bearing (wheels and diff) is going smooth. I removed a the grease in the diff. Yes, it makes a little difference, but not big.. I connect the batterypack direct to the motor. (the speedcontroller was also connected, but in this setting usseless). The motor make a lot of rotations, but not more than the setting with the speedcontroller between the batterypack and the motor. Do you have any possibilities? Thanks, Mish |

Is the ESC programmed in the right way ? Could it be your ESC is connected reversed ? In reverse the max speed is with most ESC's slower. Switch the wires to the motor and switch the throttle on your transmitter in reverse. And yes, if your car is running the same as the one of your friend you could make the motor faster ![]() |

I think so. If from full throttle going to full brake it must brake. If that is only happening going from full reverse to full throttle th function is reversed. If that is OK you have to check if the ESC will give the right indication of full throttle, a led must light on. If not you have to reprogram the transmitter or ESC. And there could be a slight possibillity the motor is not right, if all above mentioned is OK, try to exchange some parts with the car of your friend to find the problem. By the way, do you have the capacitors on the motor ? |

Allright, it seems the connection is ok. I forgot the capacitors in the first place. ![]() ![]() Mish |
