XRAY - Model racing cars

My front differential is makeing really bad clicking noise and grinding whenever I go into reverse, or when I turn sharp. IS this normal? Also, when I spin one abck wheel, the other smooothly spins the opposite direction, when I spin a front wheel, the other kind of jumps around, and is very weird. I took apart the front and looked in the diff, everything looks good, except on the bit gear, there is about 1 or 2 teeth that are slightly chipped. Could this be the problem?

Also, when I put it back together, the rod that connects the front wheels for steering hits the bottom chassis. It cannot turn the wheels fully now because it keeps hitting the chassis. The rod from the servo to the one wheel is fine, but then the rod from that wheel to the other is the problem. Cany anyone help? I realy want to drive my car again!

Are you using the 6 degree caster upper arms? You need to add a small spacer. That and/or remember to set your droop screws.

Per your diff problem. Yes, internal chipped gears will do that. Also, your ESC is doing brake then reverse? Or forward then reverse? (The latter will cause alot more damage). Anyhow, is your front diff one of the older ones where you tightened it down with a screw? Or is it built like the rear one?

You might think of investing in ball diffs if you can.
