Lately I'm having problems with my M18MT where the left rear wheel keeps locking up. The cause is always the same: the inside bearing binds and no longer turns. At first I thought it was my brushless system begin too powerful, so I went back to the stock esc and motor. This didn't help, so I installed the alu drive shafts and alu suspension blocks. Unfortunately, this did help either So far I've had 6 bearings breaking down and the weird thing is, it's always the inside bearing on the left rear wheel. Sometimes a bearing will hold up a few hours, but yesterday it was less than 10 minutes. Also the alu drive shaft is somewhat damaged at that position, which is scary for something that expensive. Anybody have any ideas what the problem might be? The M18MT is normally a lot of fun, but this is getting very frustrating. |

I've never heard of that. The diff is working smoothly? Are any bearings binding on the right side (causing the left side to have to spin faster to make up for the rights drag). Is the hub itself installed correctly? Does hub move freely up and down without the shocks attached? Like in example, if the hub is binding going up and down, it might be putting that pressure on the bearings versus transferring to the shock. Also, your using the same toe in on both side? Otherwise, the best I can think of is get some sealed rubber bearings. |
