The dimensions are...6mm I.D. 2.5mm thick. 7.95 on flat outer side, while ~ 9mm on edge.

well i went to the hardware store to see if i could find some replacement nuts (30 cents is a lot better than 2.50 per nut just so you know) i tried threading it on to a m6 bolt and it would not thread on. the only screw it would thread on is a 1/4-20, but that was very loos and not a good fit. If anyone could tell me the pitch like m1,m2,m3 etc that would be great.

edit: the bolt i tried was a m6-1.0 i assume the 1.0 is the pitch? so i would be looking for a m6-0.75?

M6x0,75 is what are you looking for
M6 means it is metric thread on diameter 6mm (its biggest diameter)
x0,75 means that it is not standart pitch for M6, but its fine pitch, in this case 0,75mm

threads with standart pitch are marked just M6
and pitch in this case is 1mm
