XRAY - Model racing cars

How tight do the diffs need to be? Am finding that even fairly tight, I can still turn one wheel with the other one locked, now on a TC thats usually a sign of slip, have tried new diffs, still the same. Also would this contribute to driveline problems, have already had a driveshaft gear (to diff) strip out. Am Running a Hacker E30-13L (4400 KV) with a Quark ESC, on 6 cells. 14/16t pinion to try and eliminate that crazy accelleration which may be contributing? Truck is bone stock besides alloy drive shafts, rear toe in turnbuckles and am using Spectrum Radio gear.

Did you before tightening them down?

Are you sure you may not have them too tight? Ignore the feel, and listen to them on the track. Are they slipping? Stripping your idler could be a sign that your ball diff is transferring too much of the initial torque to the wheels. Is your front diff tighter than your rear (usually the way you want it)?

Can you lower the initial "punch"/amp draw on the Quark like you can the Mamba? That helped me get less insane drivetrain pressure/punch from my AON 4900 setup.

Im thigtning the diff so i can bearly move the Gear when im holdning the "outputs" with my spec tool



im running 6250kv and 7.4v stockgear and 10T piniong.Never stripped a gear,but i always nomather what model im building shim the difs..for Xray you can use AE RC18 Diff shims..
