It all a matter of personal preference. If your running the stock chassis, you might dremel or cut of the interior outside buttresses *NOT THE TUB/WALL on the battery side. They usually help retain regular nimh batteries. By removing them you dont weaken the chassis, and it allows more room (about 34" in width) to fit a lipo.

Now personally, I use Thunder Power 1320mah packs. But that works best for my usage. WIth a monster truck you probably will want to look at a higher mah and "C" rating with the higher amp draw.

i have the m18T truck. i have also bought the graphite chassis for it which comes with the 6 cell holder.

whats the most powerful battery u could fit in there? i will be buying the tekin brushless 6.8 system soon so i want a good powerful li-po with great runtimes

Edit: They say it fits.. but again Im assuming they mean with the above since the stock battery retainer is only listed for a stick pack which I believe is under 100mm.

Also "Slightly thicker than standard Ni-Cd/Mh round cells due to cell spacers. May have to shim battery stud on chassis." Doing that with the above will possibly interfere with the bellcrank. Look at the 2 cell version instead or again contact them to see what their test system setup is using. (case in point 24.1mm Thick right? A 2/3A is under 18mm!!)
