Yesterday my wife was working at the polling station (Berlusconi ! Time to go home !)
so I spent entire afternoon mounting the new option parts on my M18T.
I have bought the suspension blocks from 3Racing and the hex adapters and pinions from Xray.
Mounting the suspension blocks I noticed that a ball bearing was damaged but I was anxious to
test the new configuration so I went on. The hex adapters are fantastic compared with my hand made fimo
adapters. I tryed to put a 19 teeth pinion but it was too tight on the spur: unfortunately there is not
enough space so I have to give up my dream of super speed with a 23 teeth pinion.
When finally the truck was ready with a 17 teeth I drove it outside. Unfortunately the ball bearing
deteriorated very fast and the behaviour of the truck was impredictable because sometimes the rear wheel
blocked causing it to spin or roll on its roof. It was funny when it rolled at full speed and moved more
than 10 meters on its roof before stopping.
About the front suspension blocks:
I'm a bit worried becuase it seems that there is some bump steering because 3Racing doesn't have the top
extension on page 22 of the manual on the knuckle.
Besides I don't have the right screw to fix the bottom extension on page 22 of the manual on the
knuckle.
Hoping to find the ball bearing soon.
Bye
Filippo
