I think with the stock ( is it 85) one I got you could fit about a 24/25 T there is a 81 i think spur gear you can get so a few teeth more.

I haven't tried larger than 22 as we don't run stock motors and we have a small tight track

I think the stock spur is 81. If so that doesn't leave much room!

Thanks for checking it out for me!

My local distributer says no warranty so i put it on here and also send an email to xray

Sorry to not include the info for you, but here you go

Motor reedy 5.5turn and viper esc
Slipper set to 5.8mm and slips, manual says 5.5-5.7
Track is carpet with some jumps nothing big
I have used a 5.5turn in a durango at the same track without any problem, have an xray now so not happy about this problem at all.
This has however not happend to mine so it may just be bad luck.
Got the steelgears and pins today so no problem with this again i think..

Partnr 335030 & 335080 if you want the steel gears :)

Did buy this car because of the quality on xray 1/8 buggies, so this was not expected at all :?

too much motor, too tight of a slipper
no surprise you stripped gears
and not willing to work within the parameters of the car is going to be a problem no matter what brand you have

Hi,Im just wondering,Xray always have a reason for doing things, why didnt they do the iner hingepin holders so you didnt need to take off the gearbox to change the inserts, with it having the comp gears,i would think having to take it off everytime on a race day would leave it open for the dirt and mess to get in,if you dont use the body mounts, the gearbox has holes in already,
this is in no way a moan, just a query,
thanks

I've changed the inserts in my hinge pin holders on both front and back without taking the gearbox off. I have a pick which I use to remove the dirt from the screw heads which has a bend in it and I can push it through a little bit and then pull them out. A nitro spring hook or any rigid wire you can bend into a curve will do the trick.
