I'm having trouble with the slipper clutch on my xb4 2018. I have assembled it as per the manual but when its in the car it just offers no slip at all. I must have rebuilt this 6 times without success, any ideas? Cheers |

Did you test the slipper out of the car? (I hold the shaft in one hand using a flat wrench through the slot in one of the outdrives, then slip the gear using my other hand.) I find it difficult to feel the slipper while it is installed in the car. Otherwise, all I can suggest is to take the slipper apart and put it back together again, being sure that everything is clean and fits correctly following the illustrations in the manual. Feel the action before installing the nut (pressing the outer plate by hand) to be sure it is smooth. Be sure that you've got the nut's orientation correct. The initial setting is about as loose as it goes, given that the nut can only make 1/2 turn (0.25mm) adjustments. If the slipper is still too tight, I'd try working the spring with pliers. If you've got a buddy with an XB4, you could try swapping parts with his until yours starts working. |

I don't have any experience with such a track, but as it happens I am going to run on outdoor astro this afternoon and I'm starting with this setup: xform/index.php?act=view&ID=78&setup=xb4_2018 . The main option you'd need for this setup is the center diff. I expect you could do without the alu rear uprights and alu steering plate if you wish. |
