Hi The slipper on my xb4 16 grindes on the screw of my motor mounting plate. There is no space between these two parts. I have rebuild the slipperassembly serveral times now an tried both motor positions but nothing helped. Its about one mm space that is needed. I cant find the problem. Some advice would be great. Thanks

I have changed both screws and switched them around. Does not help. Another driver on my track has the same car. He has about 1mm of space. How can this be? When i shim the slipper 0.2mm there is barely enough space to geht the first slipper pin in place. The question is, why is there not enough space? Could it be possible that the chassis plate has wrong placed holes for the screws? Or maybe some related parts has been maschined with some minor error? Thx |

I have shimmed on the shaft right before the first pin when you assemble the slipper. Works for space but the spur beginns to tumble. What shim / shimsize do you use for this? The screws should be stock. Ive ordernd some new xray screws maybe this will make the difference. My pinion is 23 for 9.5t motor. Maybe a smaller pinion helps here aswell? |

I have the exact same problem with my 16 XB4 but I'm using a center gear diff, my quick fix was to grind down the spur mounting screw heads. I wouldn't grind the motor mounts because you need the depth on the head for tightening torque. I think the problem is the center diff bearing standoff on the aluminum motor mount needs to be thicker. |

I have this same issue except not with the slipper, and only with the center gear diff. it's very frustrating and a little odd. |
