I really enjoyed building my new XB4 16.. but I really wish XRAY would make the shocks better. I have a TLR 22-4 and the shock build on the TLR is better. Otherwise, beautiful car, can't wait to drive it! |

I feel as if they always leak out the bottom even if it's just a tiny bit they are leaking, they seem to get air in them very easy (most likely from the bottom) when bleeding them it always creates a vacuum (pulling up on the shaft after you are all back together) they never seem to get to 0 rebound. Other than that the car is soooooooo good you just have to deal with the crappy shock sealing. I feel if they would use a small washer that helps guid the shaft into the body it would help. What I'm trying to say is washer oring washer oring then washer like AE shocks. |

When i build my shocks I use grease on o-rings. If I am practice I don't touch my shocks and they are perfect all time. I think that grease will make also big difference. |

That's strange. I went from 22-4 to XRay too and hated the shock builds on the TLR but found the XRay ones a dream. I used a bit of grease too. Maybe worth trying. |

Here's what I do, it's the exact opposite of what we used to do with the AE cars or years gone by. I soak the orings in my thinnest shock oil for 45min so they swell up. Then I dry them, grease them, and build. Works for diffs as well. Sometimes I'll polish the shock shafts with chrome polish as well. (I never run Ti Nitride shafts) |

Just got he xb2 and the same thing happens with the shocks. Seems to only be the front ones. I'm gonna try a rebuild with green slime it's supposed to be for shocks so maybe it'll help |
